first off, i must say my daughter is super adorable!! ok fine, you can say i'm biased, but she is WAY CUTE!!
hee. today at school, her teacher said that she kept saying "walk walk" but her teacher wanted her to sit for some reason or another. in my mind, i was thinking, are u sure she really said that...
well cut the long story short, today i realised that she does say "walk" and means it and she can say "book" too!! i love u darling!

*.* She's 13 months already!! *.*
I started this blog to note down her journey and that hopefully, someday, she'll get to see it. but mummy's been so busy that she's not able to jot everything down!!
Well, En xi has been attending school for a couple of months now, though she had a lot more time at home during the nov and december holidays with us last yr! I'm looking forward to extended time with her during the coming holidays too!
School
She's adjusted well in school though she still falls sick once in a while but much less after being able to take supplements. Now, she goes to school for half a day in the morning and I bring her home to take her afternoon nap. She has already dropped her morning nap, think it's highly as a result of being in school.
Celebrations
She celebrated her 1 year old birthday on 15 and 16 Jan!! Think she must be really excited to see all her family and friends. She was so happy walking around with mummy's friends and clapped hands when everyone sang happy birthday to her!! what a happy day for her!! daddy and mummy's effort is all worth it!

Mummy has been on lesser load in school thus lesser pay, so en xi has not been having much toys or clothes, and I always tell her that hope she will find that daddy's and mummy's love and time is more important. Now, with all your gifts, she has toys and clothes to wear!!
Milestones
She can walk!! She started walking independently about a week plus after her birthday. This means she is now much more active, trying to explore everything and also gaining much more independence. Hope we'll be able to guide and teach her well with this newfound independence.
We also realise that she understands many many things and words though she can't verbalise them still.
She's also able to sign "please" long time ago, "milk" and does this funny hand sign for saying no.

*.* En Xi's First School Experience! *.*
It's been about 3 weeks plus since En Xi started school.
She started going to school for a few hours each day since 7 Sep and on 13 Sep, Mummy's first day back at work, she started to go to school for about half a day.
Pros:
She loves to play there! Think she enjoys having friends around and limitless area to crawl. She also adjusts pretty well to the teachers there (aside from her crying during diaper change or clothes changing which according to the teacher, she is ok since week 2.)
Cons:
Since she loves to play there, she doesn't always take her morning naps and when she does nap, it's a short while. Hmm, that means she does get tired when she gets home so she tends to be more grouchy and she sleeps for a longer nap at home which means less time with Mummy and Daddy.
Oh, and she fell sick just in week 2. Had to go tui na, see GP, then see PD and took first round of antibiotics. Sobz ;(

*.* Bz Bz Bz *.*
Been soo busy so didn't manage to post cos was busy adjusting En Xi's routine by watching her cues, hoping hard that she start liking her cot again cos she's been whining n protesting everytime she's put down in the cot since she learnt to stand in the cot but don't know how to get down. Also, busy with trying to find a proper infantcare/caregiver for her when Mummy goes back to work in a few weeks time.
Well, En Xi can now stand in her playpen and even hold the side of the playpen and jump! She also learnt to get down by herself so she is happier in her playpen compared to the time when she couldn't get down. I have a feeling she can get down by herself in the cot also cos nowadays I spot her standing in the cot after she wakes up but she doesn't cry at all or hold on to it so tightly like hanging for dear life. hmm. I haven spotted her going down by herself yet though.
She's doing this new thing like spitting saliva all ard! my goodness, poor ppl ard her. but I'm too lazy to stop her cos she's really doing it so often, think she's exploring her mouth. will probably teach her to stop doing it if it continues for another week. all new things seem to last for a week or so. haha.
and now, it's where to place her when i go back to work. that's still in the process. will update again.
oh yes, i just came back from another jan forum mummies house! i do enjoy meeting other mummies cos it gives me a social life and we're all going thru the same thing! En Xi's sleeping now and I'm pumping, sure hope she sleeps well and long so I can rest too!

I'll upload the photographs and check the months again =) One thing I realise after doing this milestones checklist, En Xi is definitely more kinestetic since her gross motor skills are ahead of the milestone age, quite auditory 'cos she's pretty alert to sounds but not so vocal as until now, she only manages to shout, laugh, squeal or make hmm, aah sounds, nothing concrete like a single syllable of any kind yet not to mention any hint of "dada" or "mama". haha.

*.* The Wong Family 1st Quick Outing @ Tampines *.*
Daddy and Mummy had to do some grocery shopping and buy some things for En Xi so decided to try to go Tampines quickly and they thank En Xi for sleeping while shopping/eating! Managed a quick outing for about 2 hours plus then zoomed home.

*.* Chinese New Year Visits! *.*
Well, actually Mummy did not want to go CNY visiting before delivery as it would still be during the confinement period and En Xi will not be even one month old yet!
However, since the birth of En Xi, Mummy decided that En Xi still has to wish her grandparents from both side and especially her greatgrandparents Happy New Year!
The Wongs tried to keep the visits short and sweet but En Xi still felt all the changes like new people, new places and couldn't keep to the proper feeding time nor able to sleep in other people's houses.
After all, she was still so young and it was pretty much En Xi's first time in the car, pram etc!
So it was already a job well done! After the visits, Daddy, Mummy and En Xi all "suffered" for the next two days cos En Xi was fussy and Daddy and Mummy had to try to soothe her. Poor little Darling.
